BOO - Happy Halloween

I made this cute little card for a friend who was coming to stay with us for the weekend.  I just love this cute little Penny Black stamp.  I colored it with my copics, trying to make it look like my kitty, but I'm not sure how close it is!  I put the card in a basket filled with Halloween goodies and candles and left it on her bed for her arrival.

BOO - Treat Bag

This is a treat bag which I made for my hubby for Halloween.  I'm going to fill it with goodies and leave it in his car to find when he leaves for work.  (No more little kids at home....)  The tree is cut from Heritage; "boo" is from Wild Card, and then flocked.  I inked the bottom of the paper bag with brown and green to make the ground.  The spools hanging are blank ones purchased from Michaels.  I got the idea to cover the spools from Laurie; her site is http://hipandhumblepaperworks.blogspot.com/.  The spools are hung from individual pieces of rafia.  I hung some cotton pulled from a cotton ball on the ends of the tree before gluing the entire tree.

A Year of ATC's - January

I am a part of the monthly Kopperhead swap. At the beginning of the year, she issued a "sidebar" challenge to make 12 ATC's for each month of the year. We were given all year to get them done. So, me being me, I HAD to sign up - I've completed 4 of the sets - 8 more to go before the end of the year.

January

I love this saying - "Winter is Better When we Nestle Together".  I found the stamp in the Michael's clearance bin.  I took the blue and the white paper and glued it together with my ATG and ran them through my Cuttlebug snowflake folder.  I added clear and light blue skittles.  The snowflakes were punched from the really cute MS snowflake punch.

A Year of ATC's - February

February - Love is in the Air

These are for February and called "Love is in the Air."  I used the Cricut cartridge Love Struck with a glitter pen purchased from Chomas Creations.  With the proper adapter, you can substitute this glitter pen in place of the cutting blade, and it draws rather than cuts.  I thought my Cricut would chew up the paper if I tried to cut something so intricate, but with the pen it is a beautiful glittery pink image - I then cut the heart out by hand.  The black and white paper is from me & my BIG ideas.  I cut black mirror paper slightly larger than the white heart from the same Love Struck cart, and then used a pop dot to raise the pink heart over the black mirror. The lace was from my stash.

A Year of ATC's - April

April - "April Showers"

This is a cute little Penny Black stamp entitled "rainin' daisies" which I colored with copics.

A Year of ATC's - July

"Summer Dreamin"

I inked white cardstock with two shades of pink and one blue, then sewed a border around the edges with yellow thread.  The yellow sun, pineapple drink and beach chair were cut from Cricut's Life is a Beach.  I don't know the name of the orange paper - I bought two single pieces - but it is gritty and rough, and reminded me of wooden chairs.

Trees!

Our task for a Kopperhead swap was to make anything relating to trees.  Using fuzzy fiber, I sewed an outline of trees onto ATC's.

Tilda Mermaid Easel Card

I received this uncolored image in a swap, and I really didn't think I wanted it.  Until I colored it with my copics -- now, I think she's really cute!

Gruffie Folded Card

This card is kind of a combination of a few different cards I've seen.  I'm not quite sure what to call it, but I hope you enjoy it.

Tilda Easel Card

I love the colors and bling in this Tilda easel card.  Hope you like!

My Cute Little "E"

Although I didn't make this, I just have to share it with you. It was given to me by my buddy in a GIBBS swap. She made it with her Silhouette. Everytime I walk into my craft room, I see it and think of her. She does wonderful work and her blog is: http://starlightscrapper.blogspot.com/.

I met my buddy online and hope to meet her in person some day.  Of course, I am a west coast gal and she is an east coast gal so logistics present a problem!

Garden buddies

Can you see our cute little hummingbird buddies?  They are soooo cute and just love to land and rest oin the top of our fence.  Look carefully and you can see these cute little guysl

And then of course we have our buddies the roadrunners.  They come begging food - clacking and clacking and very brave.  Unless we have raw meat, they are not happy with us and move on to someone else.  They're clacking is a sound to hear.

GIBBS 4 Paint Can

I made this paint can (and filled it with goodies of course!) for my partner in GIBBS 4.  I was going for "elegance" with one of her favorite colors - turquoise.

Home Sweet Home ATC's

These are a couple ATC's made for a Cricut MB swap - the theme was "Home Sweet Home".

Congrats Card

Could it be that I am old enough to have a close friend whose son and wife are now expecting their first child - a grandchild for my friend!  And worse than that, my son grew up with him - am I really that old?  Yes, I guess it's true.  Here's a card I made to congratulate them on the pregnancy.  They are very excited.  The "wish upon a star" was on clearance at Michael's in the jewelry dept.  The paper is from the Nana's Nursery stack.
