HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Finally a post!  I hope to be back more consistently now.
Here is a card I made for my hubby for Father's Day.  I'm happy to say he loved it.  He seems to get a kick out of handmade cards.  I got the instructions for this card from CardMaker Newsletter's free project sheet. (www.Cardmakersmagazine.com)  It was very easy and quick (shhhh.... don't tell!)  I think next time I make it, I may add a chain to the tie and maybe a little note or tag in the pocket.  Lots of possibilities.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the fathers out there.
Happy Father's Day to my husband - love you.
To my father who was the best father and grandfather in the world,
I miss you and think of you every day.
Cheers!

Card for my BFF

OK, feel like I'm really still sorting out my style. I think some of this card is my "newly found" style - I love the TH mannequin, and the paper, and the flowers. I think I really NEED that little rosette die tho. Yep, that's my next purchase.
This is a card I made for my BFF who had minor surgery yesterday. Just wanted to let her know I'm thinking of her. And who better to send a card to -- she always raves about everything!! Ah, what a good BFF!

House Mouse Christmas Card

A buddy of mine sent me this cute little House Mouse stamp (thank you Lisa!!) and it makes just the cutest card.  I colored with my copics, used prima flowers and wreaths from my stash.  I inked around the inside of the card with an Ink Dot.  Seasons Greetings was cut from the Cricut cart Winter Woodland.

Gruffies Christmas Card

I just love these little guys.  This was colored with copics; the blingy tree on the right is from Basic Grey.  There is lace from my stash, and the remainder of the embellishments are just cut from leftover Christmas paper.

Tilda Christmas Card

More Christmas Cards!

On this card, I used a MS punch for the snowflakes and silver smooch on the poinsettias Tilda is holding.  I'm afraid the silvery smooch doesn't show up well on the picture.  This was my first time using Smooch and I love it.  It is a sharp silver that really stands out.  The remainder of the card was colored with copics.

Christmas Cards

Finally, I've been able to start on my Christmas cards.  Well, I only have one done, but that's a start, right?

I used the wonderful Graphic 45 Christmas Past paper for the front of the card.  I kept it fairly simple because the paper is so pretty.  I made the rosette and it has a button in the middle of it.

Christmas Card

I am just getting into paper piercing and found this pattern for a star which I sewed and then turned into a card.  It took a long time and I'm not sure I'd make too many, but it was fun.  I used thick cardstock (GinaK) a sharp, tiny needle and 1 strand of embroidery thread.  I think next time I might use two strands.  I also think the leaves should be outlined with a contrasting color of thread.  Next time!

Tilda Mermaid Easel Card

I received this uncolored image in a swap, and I really didn't think I wanted it.  Until I colored it with my copics -- now, I think she's really cute!

Gruffie Folded Card

This card is kind of a combination of a few different cards I've seen.  I'm not quite sure what to call it, but I hope you enjoy it.

Tilda Easel Card

I love the colors and bling in this Tilda easel card.  Hope you like!

Congrats Card

Could it be that I am old enough to have a close friend whose son and wife are now expecting their first child - a grandchild for my friend!  And worse than that, my son grew up with him - am I really that old?  Yes, I guess it's true.  Here's a card I made to congratulate them on the pregnancy.  They are very excited.  The "wish upon a star" was on clearance at Michael's in the jewelry dept.  The paper is from the Nana's Nursery stack.

GIBBS 4 - Tilda

My FIRST Tilda!  Colored with my latest addiction - copics

GIBBS 4 - Stamping Bella

Isn't this little hanger cute?  I wish I could make them myself, but I'm afraid I'm not that good at wire work!

I should have posted where I received the instructions for the diamond fold card - still getting the hang of this blogging world!  I found it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSeWF4eVgGs.  This person (thenorsugirl) has lots and lots of folded card tutorials.  Enjoy!
I'll be watching to see what you create!

GIBBS 4 - House Mouse

My paintcan and goodies in the Cricut GIBBS 4 swap have been received and opened, so now I can post some things from that.  I love these swaps!

My first House Mouse!  And my first copically-colored  (is that a word??) image that I have shared.  A not so secret secret about me -- I am addicted to copic markers.
